What the spring actually does
On a standard crutch the lower leg is a rigid tube. The step lands, and all of it arrives at your hands at once. The in-Motion Pro puts a spring inside the lower post of each leg, so part of that load is taken by the crutch on the way up.
The tip is the other half of it. Instead of a flat rubber foot that meets the ground square and then rolls onto its edge as you swing through, this one articulates and holds 75-100% surface contact across the whole step.
Millennial Medical says the design was Developed through 34 clinical studies and trusted by physical therapists and professional athletes worldwide. That is their claim on their own listing, quoted as such.

Nothing here is designed to be thrown away
The parts that wear out on a crutch are the parts you touch and the parts that touch the ground. On this one each of them has its own listing, so the pair outlives its components instead of being replaced with them.
Ordered from the same store as the crutches, in Canadian dollars, on the same shipping terms.
Which part wears first and how to look after it is on our parts and care page. Whether this crutch fits you is a hip measurement, not a height: how to size a forearm crutch.
Free shipping on every pair. Duties and taxes in the price. Nothing at the door.
Free shipping on every pair by FedEx International Connect Plus, and the Canadian duties and taxes are included in the price, in Canadian dollars. Nothing is collected on delivery, so the courier will not ask you for anything at the door.
Every pair clears the free-shipping line; a part ordered on its own does not. 30-day returns, and Returns go back to the United States and the return label is deducted from your refund, so settle your size before you order rather than after.

This is my 4th set. The hand grips are extremely comfortable. There are springs on the legs which act as shock absorbers. Very comfortable, very lightweight.

I do wish they could fold or there was some way to hook them together. I love the shock absorption and how simple they are!

Delivery was perfect and assembly was easy. These were a replacement for 10 yr old crutches that were run over by a car.

Before you order
What is actually different about the lower leg?
A standard crutch leg is a rigid tube, so a step arrives at your hands as one hard event. Each leg of the in-Motion Pro has a spring built into the lower post, which gives that step somewhere to go. The tip articulates rather than meeting the ground flat, so it keeps contact through the step instead of only at the bottom of it.
Is it really rated to 350 lb?
Yes, 350 lb (159 kg), and that is the rating on the manufacturer's own listing rather than a number we worked out. Each crutch weighs 1.8 lb, so the pair is 3.6 lb.
Which size, and can I change my mind about it?
Size is floor-to-hip, not body height. Short covers a hip height of 23.5" to 33.5" and Tall covers 28.5" to 42.5". The ranges overlap on purpose, so someone at the join can take either and the 11 and 15 handle positions do the rest. Both are adult sizes. Pick yours in the offer above and the store opens on it.
What does it cost to keep a pair running?
Every wearing part is sold on its own: articulating tips, forearm cuffs, handles, spring-assist posts. A worn part is a part order rather than another pair, which is the whole reason this crutch is built the way it is.
What does it cost to get one into Canada?
Free shipping on every pair by FedEx International Connect Plus, and Canadian duties and taxes are included in the price, so there is nothing to pay when the box arrives. Nothing is collected on delivery.
Are forearm, Lofstrand, elbow and Canadian crutches the same thing?
Yes, four names for one design: a cuff around your forearm and a grip you hold, instead of a pad under your armpit. Lofstrand is the clinical name, Canadian crutch the older North American one, elbow crutch what most of the rest of the world says. The in-Motion Pro is that design with a spring-assisted post in each leg.
